Yesterday evening, an Amtrak train overturned in Philadelphia at 100 m.p.h. as it sailed along a dangerous curve, on its way from Washington to New York City.

Two Philadelphians of note were on the train – former Congressman Patrick Murphy , and hip hop artist Yahmeen Allworld – both of whom quickly posted on social media about the accident.

As of this post, 7 people have died and almost 150 are seriously injured after Amtrak Train 188 crashed in the Port Richmond section of the city.  While the black box of the train is currently being examined, authorities are still investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Injured passengers must quickly file legal notices to preserve their rights against anyone responsible for this accident – including Amtrak, which knew about a prior accident in that exact same location in Philadelphia 72 years ago!

The Law Office of J. Conor Corcoran, P.C. will preserve those rights immediately.  Contact Conor Corcoran at 215-735-1135 to protect your interests or those of any loved ones who were victims of what appears to be an avoidable catastrophe.
